About Robert

Robert Wake is a trombonist and teacher from Henderson, TN. He received a B.M. in Trombone Performance from Vanderbilt University, and he is currently pursuing an M.M. in Trombone Performance at the University of Denver. As a player, he’s made a point of becoming fluent in numerous styles (orchestral, chamber, contemporary classical, pop/funk, & jazz), and he enjoys nothing more than helping students reach their goals, regardless of the musical style they pursue. As a member of the West End Brass Quintet, he was invited to deliver a series of chamber recitals in Berlin, while studying with members of the Berlin Philharmonic. As a member of the University of Denver Trombone Quartet, he was invited to deliver the final performance of the Big 12 Trombone Conference in Lubbock, Texas. He performs regularly with the DU Trombone Quartet, local orchestras, church groups, and dance bands.
